About
Sandwich Guildhall Museum, situated in the heart of the town, tells the
rich and varied story of Sandwich through the ages, from its early
beginnings to the present day.
Located in the 16th Century Guildhall the museum houses treasures
including the 1300 A.D Sandwich Magna Carta and Charter of the Forest as well as artefacts dating back to the Mesolithic period.

Wednesday to Sunday , 10:00 - 16:00
Please be aware, the Courtroom is still used for weddings. To avoid being disappointed you can contact us to check if it will be in use when you visit.
Collection & Archives
At Sandwich Guildhall Museum & Archives we collect objects to help us tell stories about the town and surrounding areas. To ensure we can continue caring properly for our collections and archives, we have guidelines as to what we can and cannot take into our care.
We ask that you do not leave items in the Visitor Information Centre or the Museum. If you would like to donate something to the museum, please contact us and tell us more information about the item(s) first. Thank you!
